Wireless Communication
The RLINK Communication unit provides wireless communication between a Communicator and the controller network. Generally, a communication cable (for example RS-232/485) connects each controller to the network. In the event that something divides one house from the next, RLINK enables connecting wirelessly.
In most countries the RLINK does not require a license. RLINK supports different frequency and power level options, enabling it to broadcast anywhere in the world.
RLINK Features
- Easy installation
- DIP switch configuration enables operation of more than one system simultaneously
- Estimated distances of up to 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) under optimal conditions (direct line of sight connections with no electrical interference)
- Communication distance can be increased
Long Distance Transmission
A variety of antennas and power levels are available, each one designed to fit your particular installation requirements. In general, antennas are omni-directional (360 degrees with a limited transmission distance) or uni directional (restricted beam width but longer distance transmission).
