ROTEM AC-2000 plus Environmental Control Program monitors and analyses climate conditions, using advanced electronic temperature and humidity sensors. The AC-2000 plus gives the user the possibility to maintain optimum conditions inside the house, thanks to the activation and deactivation of ventilation, heating or cooling devices (heaters, fans, curtains, etc.) according to parameters preset by the user. The system is equipped to prevent harmful humidity and ammonia levels. It also regulates lighting conditions. Should a malfunction occur, ROTEM AC- 2000 plus alarm system alerts the user. The ROTEM computer is user friendly: it has a simple menu and format table. Moreover, it can be connected to a local PC and allows communication by remote control or via modem. The RLD-7.2 is Rotem’s two channels digital light dimmer. This powerful dimmer can work manually,
be directly controlled by your poultry house controller through either its analog output (0-10 volt) or through its communication line.
The RLD-7.2 is designed to be easy, safe and comfortable to use, install and service.
The RLD-7.2 has some unique features such as “bright” button,
that feature enables the grower to increase the light to a preset intensity for a preset time length.
The user can enter the house push the button and leave from another door knowing the light will automatic go back to the requested low intensity.
The RLD-72 can efficiently control Incandescent, Cold Cathode and CFL bulbs.
Since CFL lamp physical behavior differs from the incandescent lamps,
Rotem’s R&D department made some researches on that issue.
Rotem checked different brands and measured the light intensity vs. Triac firing phase angle for:
- SDS-23W and SDS-15W from U Lighting America CFL Lamps
- MB-802D and MB-802DP from Litetronics CFL Lamps
The following was found:
- There is a similarity in CFL lamps behavior.
- There is a non linear behavior.
- There are some limitations on firing CFL lamp at lower range.
- The higher range of the lamp is not linear at all and big phase shifts should be applied in order to have a difference in light intensity.
Those issues were addressed in Rotem Light Dimmer software by the following means:
- Mapping the whole period of half sine wave by the light intensity vs. Triac firing phase angle.
- Rotem has restricted the low band operation.
- Rotem provided some correction factors in order to overcome CFL lamp parameters deviations.

The Environment Control REC-8V measures inside and outside temperatures with one or two inside-the-barn temperature sensors. It also uses an optional inside humidity sensor and outside temperature sensor. By activating fans, flaps, heaters and cooling systems, it brings the conditions inside the barn to pre-set parameters. These are target temperature and requested humidity. The controller has 7 relays output and one variable fan output of up to 15 Amps.
The Environment Control REC-8R measures inside and outside temperatures with one or two inside-the-barn temperature sensors. It also uses an optional inside humidity sensor and outside temperature sensor. By activating fans, heaters and cooling systems, it brings the conditions inside the barn to pre-set parameters. The RCC-2 is a cooling system controller. It includes one temperature sensor and one humidity sensor. The user can set the temperature to turn cooling on, set humidity to turn cooling off and set the On/Off duty cycles.
The unit measures and compares between the inside and outside pressure and opens or closes air inlets or curtains as needed, to bring the static pressure inside the house to the set point. It has optional outside temperature sensor for proper automatic summer or winter control.
The Rotem RSW-2 is a Silo weighing control system. It includes feed as well as bird scale allowing the grower to precisely control feed deliveries, feed inventory and feed conversion. Feed dispensing may be set to preset times for meal time feeding, continuous full feeding, or restricted feeding. The RSW-2 can monitor water consumption (if water meter is connected) and also control the lights.
Designed for broilers or breeders, the RFS-6 can collect display and store feed consumption, water consumption, feed conversion and average bird weight per day during the growth cycle. It activates up to two feed augers (mixing optional), feeders, lights, bird weighing platform and alarm. PC Communication Package is included.
